Happy 4th of July!!
Please be in prayer for the following people and situations this week:
For all people who are traveling this week and for everyone’s safety during the 4th of July Holiday.
For a very good friend of mine who is going through a lot of family turmoil.
Sharon Worsham had surgery on Monday, 6-30. All went well and she came home this afternoon. I spoke with Sharon this evening. She sounds wonderful and had just finished enjoying a meal that was delivered by Frankie Pool. Sharon asked me to thank everyone for the prayers and concerns and to let you all know that the surgery went very well and with no complications.
Dan King had shoulder surgery Tuesday today. I have not heard how he is doing.
Vicky Styles, a senior citizen on Jim Lynes’ lunch delivery route, is having increasing health problems.
Continue to pray for Joan & Mike Chase. It was great to see Mike at church on Sunday. He is still very weak, but he is doing better.
Jennifer Blanton has asked that we continue to keep her father, John Ross, in our prayers. He will be having surgery on July 7th to remove the parts of his esophagus where there are cancerous lesions. Please pray for John, Jennifer and all of their family next Monday and throughout his recovery.
For Don Royals’ very close friend, Jim White. Jim recently returned from working in Baghdad and then discovered that he has cancer. He is undergoing difficult treatment and Don is very concerned for his friend.
Susan Davis, for her continued recovery for her broken leg
For all members of our armed forces, especially for those in harm’s way. Please continue to pray for all of our soldiers who are Iraq and Afghanistan. I understand the temperatures in Iraq right now are well over 100 degrees every day. Also, remember all of our soldiers and families in your prayers as many of them are in the process of returning home. We pray for their safe journeys. We remember the following soldiers by name:
CSM Keith C. Dawson, Jim Levine, Don Matthew, CH/Major David Bowerman, Dusty Henry, Captain Toby Mackall, and Wayne Lee. Please let me know of other soldiers whose names we should include in our daily prayers.
I hope to hear that some of these men have returned home in recent days. Please let me know, so I can share the good news!!
For our President and the leaders of our Country, including those men and women currently involved in the election process.
Please continue to be in prayer for the following people and
let me know of any updates you may have for any of these folks. Thank you.
