Please be in prayer for the family of Leslie Barto who passed away yesterday after battling brain cancer this past year. Our prayers go out to all of her family, especially her husband Dave and her children, Alexandra and Friedrich. The Bartos joined our Church early this year. Barbara Wright who did not have to have further surgery after all this week. She is now home and continuing to recover.

George Perry who is recovering from an automobile accident that happened on Thursday. He suffered from broken ribs and other injuries and has been hospitalized at St. Joseph's.

Linda Messinger who is recovering from hip replacement surgery

The friends and family of Donna Payne who passed away last weekend after a long illness

Rick Evans, brother-in-law of Glenn and Cheryl Fox who is recovering from open heart surgery

For Mellie Long who is recovering nicely from her foot surgery and is looking forward to getting the boot off this week.

Please be in prayer for the following people and situations this week:

Barbara Wright, who is recovering from surgery. She has had some difficulty during the recovery but the latest news from her is that she is doing much better after medication has reduced the swelling and inflammation. Barbara remains hospitalized at Saint Joseph's in Savannah but may be able to come home tomorrow.

Peggy Dixon as she recovers from surgery and awaits further surgery.

Janet Perry who will be having surgery tomorrow.

Our Christian sympathy is with Nicole Sisco and her family, following their recent loss.

Jennifer Blanton's father is now home, following an extended time in an Atlanta-area hospital. Jennifer's mother is also dealing with health issues.

We give thanks to God for the commitments and intentions represented in the dozens of "SOAR" offering cards which the members and friends of the congregation sent in. May God bless the ministry of RHPC throughout 2009, in order that we serve a community which will have a full range of spiritual, material, and growth-related stresses and needs.

Don and Jennifer Hartley have a newborn daughter.

Marcia Gillispie begins her new calling this week. She has been hired by Bryan County to be site director for the South Bryan Seniors Center (near the recreation center). This full time position is an answer to prayers offered since the Gillispies relocated to Richmond Hill.

Marshall and Mary Worsham, following Marshall’s hospitalization this week. My understanding is that Marshall is doing well.

Eleanor and Graham Leggett- It was very nice to see Graham in Church this morning!

Betsy Wilson who is home from the hospital and doing better. Bob said that her lengthy stay in the hospital was partly due to their having to run tests to eliminate any fears of a serious cause to her dizziness and inner ear problems. All of the tests were good and she is now recovering at home.

John Ross, Jennifer Blanton's father as he continues radiation and chemotherapy- Jennifer went to Atlanta to be with her father this weekend as he has had a difficult week. The doctors have discovered that he has blood clots and are treating him with medication to dissolve them. Ricky said he believes that Jennifer is coming home this afternoon but he wasn’t sure.
